Crashing, Hotness, and Michal's Return

I had another flying dream last night. As in flying on a plane. This wasn't the usual dream though, because it didn't crash. I have regular dreams about crashing. But it got me thinking, if I ever have to die in a plane crash, I hope it happens during take-off and not landing. What a stressful way to spend your last hours on earth!

That concludes Friday's Morbid Thoughts.

On a happier note, I have been making progress at the gym. If you don't believe me, then perhaps this will convince you:

This is my very unphotoshopped Not Quite Hot Enough photo. Now technically, I don't even qualify to be NQHE since I was never nominated for the Hot Blogger Calendar. (I still stay up late at night trying to figure out why.) But McMommy and Happy Hour Sue are so much fun that I couldn't help but participate anyway. If you don't know what I'm talking about, head over to NQHE and check out the not quite hot enough almost hotties, including yours truly.

And on an even happier note, Michal will be home today! It will be so nice to have him back. Noah has instructed me that we need to have "yummy apples and Altoids" in stock for Daddy's return. I'm not sure why about the Altoids, but he keeps telling me so I won't forget. And how can I say no to Noah wanting to make his return minty fresh, curiously strong, and happy?

I know that Michal had wanted a grand, slow-motion, sappy-music-playing-in-the-background, running-to-greet-him kind of welcome at the airport, but being practical and realistic, my dad is going to pick him up since he works in Raleigh. In order to arrive on time, we would have had to get the kids out of bed during nap time, which would result in a screaming hour long trip there and back. And there would be running in the baggage claim, only it would be Noah running the opposite direction looking for an appropriate place to throw himself down in a special kind of fit reserved for public places. I'm sorry, Michal, but I'm going to have to veto that. We'll be waiting, yummy apples and Altoids in hand, here at home.

Have a great weekend, blogoland. I doubt I'll be on much, but come back in a few days for the pictures of the grand return.

Oh, and thank you to every one of the commenters from my last post. You truly did encourage me and it's nice to know that all over the world, three year olds are throwing fits like mine. We're in this together, so thanks for the boost! I'm confident today will be a happier day.

Definitely avoid the whole screaming child scene. Once a week is enough, eh?

Have a great weekend, yummy apples, altoids & all!
